Student Work: Applied Theatre - Covid 19 Monologues

Spring semester 2020, I replaced Intermediate Acting culminating Forum Theatre performance with an original monologue assignment that responded to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Students worked collaboratively over Zoom to write, revise, and rehearse their works. The need to socially distance required that they worked independently to performed and filmed their monologues. The end product allowed them to utilize the principles of Forum Theatre to captured divergent perspectives on the pandemic. Despite the challenges of mastering remote learning and new technologies, the videos represent of our efforts. These are a few of the research based fictional monologues written and  performed by intermediate BA acting students.
